Like a garden (but it’s a farm)

Tetto Garrone is a modern farm producing hazelnuts, walnuts and chestnuts on fifteen hectares surrounding the old country house.
The hazelnuts are typical of the area, the “Tonda Gentile Trilobata” variety of Piedmont.
At the end of August, when they fall to the ground, we collect, clean and dry them then our cooperative deals with marketing them.
French and American varieties of walnuts and chestnuts are harvevested later, between September and October.
Water is delivered drop by drop to each plant to avoid waste.
On the roof of the new porch the photovoltaic panels are installed: the energy needed by the farm comes from them.
